Too much food

Boy, I’m really being mundane and pointless tonight.

For dinner I had some gai cuon thit noung (sorry, I don’t know how to make the symbols) left over from lunch. Then I discovered some ground deadcow in the fridge that I thought needed to be cooked. So I made spaghetti, and will have it for dinner tomorrow.

But I’d stopped at the market on the way home from work. I have a big slab o’ corpse, and I’ll have to make pot roast soon. (Yeah, I bought potatoes, carrots, onion, bell peppers and mushrooms too.)

I couldn’t resist getting a bunch of asparagus.

And I have some fresh mangoes and papayas and bananas and strawberries. And a tin of pineapple slices.

Picked up some deadpig, too. I’ll spread some refried beans on a flour tortilla, put a layer of ham on it, then some shredded cheese and another torilla, and back it in the oven. When it’s done, I’ll cut it up like a pizza and spread sour cream and guacamole on top.

And I got some bread for Vegemite sandwiches.

I hope I can eat this stuff before it rots. (No worries about the Vegemite, of course! )

Okay this is mundane and pointless, I did too. No joke. We have had thunderstorms and torential rain floods plaguing us for the better part of the day here. Anyway it’s piss pouring rain outside when I decide to stop at the Kroger grocery store on the way home from work. As I walk in out of the rain, I am greeted in the produce section with with what else? Lightening, thunder and the produce getting a good showering. They actually have Bose speakers for the show and some sort of light that gives the effect of lightening. Now I know it’s nice to wet the produce and it helps, but WTF is up with the speakers and light show? I mean, it’s like it was mocking me or something.

Anyway sounds like I need to come to your house for dinner. How did the pizza turn out? Sounded like it would be yummy.
