Too Proud to Die - the Fighting Ignorants

No, Auto seems to be alive and well. The FI continue on their merry way and soon find a side passage off to the right, while the main passage continues. Lantern light makes out large wooden doors, well studded with iron, both ahead and to the right.

“Flip a coin?”

Always to the right, except politically

Melon attempts to listen at the left door. He makes exaggerated shushing motions to his companions.

“What is the left door? There is a door straight ahead and one off to the right. Has fear made you delusional?”

Melon attempts to listen at the ahead door. He makes exaggerated shushing motions to his companions.

Melon hears some barely-suppressed heavy breathing and a nervous, almost panicky heartbeat.

“Should we try to negotiate a surrender?”

At this rate Melon will be hearing a bunch of crickets too…

Hey, look who’s talkin’

@Frodo: “You mean our surrender to it, right?”

“Sooo… what now? Do we have any way of telling if it’s human? Perhaps we should talk to it?”

“Errr, no , their or his surrender to us, on the other hand what do you do with a surrendered Goblin?, send it to Guantanamo?”

“Hey guys, I’m back. Did I miss anything?
Oh uh… you seem busy, Carry on, except this time I suppose I’ll ready my darts and my Magic Missile to help out as well.”

If I see a ranged attacked, he’ll take the Missile first then the darts…

Melon is amazed at two things:

1.) That he can hear a heartbeat through the door (maybe he’s hearing his own heartbeat?).
2.) That the others can tell what he’s hearing.

Melon pantomimes a big scary monster to the group and then points to the ahead door, drawing his weapon.

Frodo grips his staff with both hands, ready for the attack.

And then someone opens the door?

Melon slowly turns the handle on the door, pushing it in just a tiny bit before letting go and stepping back. With a nod to the others he kicks the door open.

“mumble mumble . . . Choosing doors with things on the othe side . . . Grumble mumble”

I’ll get my axe and shield ready and kick open the door charging in after it and try to kill the nearest thing to the entrance.

You charge fearlessly into an empty room. To your left there seems to have been a minor cave-in - the masonry is broken and some rocks have been inexpertly piled into the hole. The floor is bloodstained. To your right is the only apparent exit, another heavy wooden door on which is written “B where of teh goast” in some kind of black lettering, probably charcoal.

“Didnt used to be a Goblin here?, where did it go?, and what the heck is a Goast?”

Nervously checking all possible entries to the room (including the one we used to enter) **Frodo **keeps the staff ready and tries to be ready for anything

“Ummmm…perhaps we should check out the other room before venturing further into this one? Also, everyone still got their signs of the Prophet?”
