See I don’t have cable and I am not usually up this early, I was up about 8:00!!!
But Sunday morning TV really sucks. Not even a good cartoon on. I woke up to some preacher speaking on the values of God’s Word or some stuff like that. I knew right away it would be one of those days.
Guess I need to figure out how to pay for and get satellite TV, screw the cable co. They only offer 72 channels. < hehe only >
So, to highjack my own post, how the heck are you all today…been kind of scarce I have, focusing on my friends over on LJ. I just love those people!
Try CBS Sunday Morning, which is the only watchable Sunday morning TV unless you really, really enjoy wacko TV preachers, which I’ve been known to do on more than one occasion.
8:00?! You slacker. I’ve been up since 6:00. Not that I wanted to be up that early, but now that it’s warm enough to leave my windows open all night, something wakes me up between 5:30 and 6:00 every freakin’ day of the week. Someday I’ll figure out what it is.
But I’m doing ok. Still avoiding this stupid paper I have to finish for Thursday, but it’ll get done. I’m even going to unzip my backpack momentarily.
Good morning techchick! I hope you have enjoyed 8:00 a.m. – it is much more enjoyable than 5:30 a.m. (Okay, I got up at 10:15 a.m. today, so I guess I’m the slacker of the day.)
Now that it is past noon here and past 1 p.m. there, is there anything yet good on TV?
Not here. I stuck a movie in the VCR to sort of watch while I work on this paper.
I think that’s the best way to go today. Of course, there was baseball on, but I’m having trouble getting into the season this year.
Friend stopped over and made breakfast for me (8 am - I was still asleep). Yum.
Friend left for work (around 11 am).
I went to the Millenium Mall to walk around (upscale stores, waaaaaaaaaaay outta my price range [Cartier, Neiman Marcus, Gucci, etc.]. Stores with Orlando Police Department personnel standing at the doorways. Places like that.).
So I wander into Macy*s. Browsing through the formal wear and evening gowns. Nice stuff, still out of my budget. And next to the reigister, there’s a rack full of formal dresses for $9.95.
Yes, that’s right: dollar sign number decimal point number number.
No damages, no beads missing, no rips or tears. Just wanted to get them out of the store.
Simple little (mostly) black evening dresses. Classic designs, no “mother of the bride” frumpy stuff. And in my sizes, too!!!
Out of the 37 I tried on, I liked five of them. $850 worth of evening wear for $49.75 (plus tax).
Sunday morning television with me (and Monday - Saturday for that matter) is all about repeated episodes of Sportscenter. Over and over again. That’s like 6 hours a day right there.
