Top 5 Movie Props

I’ve seen that movie at least twice and, embarassingly, I don’t remember anything about a pen.

I’ll tell you what this made me think of though, is Joe Pesci’s pen from Casino :D.

What about Jesse Ventura’s minigun from Predator? That thing is truly legendary. I’ve seen websites dedicated to it.

In the fight in the high school, Martin Blank used the pen Jeremy Piven’s character gave him and stabbed Benny “The Jet” Urquidez’s character in the neck with it.

On another Cusack/pen-related note, how about the pen Diane Court (Ione Skye) gave Lloyd Dobler (Cusack) in Say Anything? “I gave her my heart, and she gave me a pen.” :smack:

Wow. I completely missed that thread as well. Must have scanned it subconsiously.

About 20 years ago, my sister had a room-mate whose father worked as a SFX man on the original “Exorcist” movie. He kept the life-size mannequin replica of Regan for the scenes in which her head spun around as a souvenir. My sister’s room-mate borrowed it for a Halloween party they threw. It looked fake in real life, but it was a lot of fun slapping “Pazzuzu” and watching her head spin around!

The drilldo in the Sex Shop (“Is this some kind of a bust?”) in Naked Gun 2 1/2 never fails to crack me up. I nominate that prop.

The shower curtain from Psycho as the dying Janet Leigh pulls it off the rod.

For that matter, Mrs. Bates, although I don’t know if she qualifies as a prop.

Otto the Autopilot in Airplane

Full-body condom in Naked Gun

The clocks in High Noon

How about The Batmobile?

Or how about “The Anal Intruder” from Top Secret?

“We found him impaled on THIS. He apparently didn’t realize that we use 240V in Europe. Our doctors did everything they could, but it took them hours just to get the smile off his face.”

I’d like the painting Ted Striker paints in* Airplane!* - the one with the soldier standing on one leg with the other tucked behind his head, while he holds up a baby in one hand with a jeep and explosions in the background.

knife from psycho

Praise be for vanity searches. George Kaplan himself was a McGuffin (as was the microfilm in NBNW). In The 39 Steps, which is really the same film, the McG is the secret - committed to the memory of Mr Memory this time around, rather than celluloid - which the spies are trying to get out of Britain.

The row of Jesuses in Alex’s room during the scherzo of the Ninth in A Clockwork Orange.

In no particular order…

The flux capacitor… I’d love to have that buzzing away on my wall. Before I leave, I can look at it and comment to the GF

The bible with the hole for a rock hammer from The Shawshank Redemption

Chief’s broom from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

The CRM-114 message decoder (slightly damaged) from Dr. Strangelove

The switchblade from 12 Angry Men

The sign Col. Nicholson places on the bridge in The Bridge on the River Kwai. This is my favorite movie, and I’ve always wanted that sign. I keep thinking I’ll recreate it, but it’s not the same.

The holy grail from Indy and the Last Crusade

The cricket bat from Shaun of the Dead

[Hijack]An old coworker of mine was a prop collector. He had one of the cubes from a Hellraiser movie. Each prop cube opened in a different way. He used to bring in these price lists he would get. I remember one item - a 5 foot bug limb from Starship Troopers (slightly singed)

dasgupta, what’s your spoiler from? It helps if you tell us what movie you’re spoiling so we don’t have to click on it to find out - because then it’s spoiled.

Great suggestions - very diverse. I’d want Chief’s kitchen sink though!

:smack:

Spoiler is from The Shawshank Redemption
