Stephen actually seems to have taken some of the criticism to heart and grown from it, which is nice to see. It was probably good for him to get a chance to see how he comes across to people.
I thought it was surprising (and telling?) that Tiffani never actually denied turning down Leanne’s oven. And what was with her trying to steal Dave’s shirt? On the other hand, my fiancee thinks that if Tiffani were a man and not a women she could act the same and catch a lot less flack for it. (A case of “assertiveness” for a man being “bitchiness” for a woman.) She might be right. Personally, I never really minded Tiffani, but it is impressive just how many of the other contestants she managed to piss off.
You know, I really don’t think Tiffani would mess with the appliances. To me, she’s too self-confidant (or arrogant) to think she’d need to do something like that. I’d say Dave or the young girl would be likely to do it, mostly because they felt themselves underdogs. So did Andrea, maybe, but I just don’t see Andrea being the “do anything to win” type.
Stephen somewhat redeemed himself in my eyes, although it may only be for the cameras, realizing what an arse he came off during the show.
Miguel was a real camera hog, wasn’t he? You could tell he loved seeing hte clips of himself.
Kevin showed again exactly why he deserved to be kicked off first.
I was also surprised at how much animosity there was towards Tiffani. We saw if from Dave and Miguel during the show, but not from so many other people. I thought Tiffani’s answer about turning down the oven was very similar to her answer about sending Miguel home – very evasive. Her reaction to the gang-up showed how insecure she is, even though she’s also ultra-competitive. I noticed that Lee Anne managed to stay out of it during the reunion, including when they asked whether Tiffani should win.
When Kenneth was the first to go, I was happy, and I still don’t like him, but that clash between him and Stephen was pretty interesting. I think it showed that in spite of what Stephen may have learned, he still takes himself too seriously and has a lot of arrogance. Stephen was going way overboard with his reconciliation with Candice (I can’t believe the actual fight lasted over half an hour), and he couldn’t stand someone laughing. Stephen actually called Kenneth “white trash” which is pretty telling about Stephen’s attitudes.
No, if Tiffani were a man, Tiffani would be called an asshole not a bitch. Her attitude and behavior isn’t assertive, it’s crap. She might be a good chef, but last night she showed again that she’s an utter failure as a human being.
Dave also brought the jackassery on the reunion show.
Stephen is very, very young and has a long way to go, but there was some self realization there that was nice to see. I didn’t want to punch him.
It’s really not fair to let the contestants go on the air when they’re totally smashed. Stephen was drinking straight from the bottle and looked like he was about to pass out. Just about everyone seemed blitzed, too.
I have to think that contributed to Dave’s desperate bids for attention and Tiffani’s overall bitchiness. During the series, I never had much problem with Tiffani’s behavior, but she sure confirmed her bitch status during the reunion.
The clip segments were edited much worse than on “Project Runway,” and the questions from the judges were lame. Everyone came out of this show looking bad.
