Can I be the first to say - WOW!

What an amazing episode, THIS is what good sci-fi is all about. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one to have a WTF moment when suddenly there’s this new bloke in Torchwood and I’m thinking - did I miss an episode? But no, it’s really a memory altering alien. I love the scene when Gwen came home and didn’t remember who Rhys was, it was extremely well done and the actress who plays her did it extremely convincingly.

Also the whole bit about Ianto was fairly gruesome, imagine suddenly realising you’re a serial killer? Scary stuff.

I would say best episode of the series so far, top notch stuff (and also great to see Owen in dweeb mode, that was a laugh a minute). :smiley:

And then BBC 3 had episode 6 to watch straight after, I actually squeed at the TV - yes I did.

It was very good. It went a little metaphysical for a while, but that’s SF for you. It was clearly specifically designed solely to reveal hints of Jack’s past, though.

Yeah, that was a really good episode.

I’m kinda glad they didn’t retcon Rhys, but at what point did Gwen fall so in love with Jack?

The glimpse into Jack’s childhood was interesting, but I really want to know how he became a time agent and what happened after that.
