The Leafs have never been my team. But it’s been thirty years since a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup. That’s hard to believe and an embarrassment not solved by more junior teams sometimes doing well internationally. After dispatching Tampa I hope any Canadian manages to break the curse!

Well, the Leafs’ path to the Stanley Cup just got a lot easier, as the Bruins, after putting up one of the greatest regular seasons in history, just choked and were eliminated by the Panthers.
43 points separated them in the standings. Not sure if that’s a record for the distance between two playoff opponents where the lower seed won, but if not it has to be close.
People said these Bruins might be the best the best hockey team of all time…
Nope.
They were the best regular season team of all time. but nobody really cares about that.
The current odds of winning the Cup have the Leafs #1 and the Oilers #2 - That would be the first all Canadian final since 1989.
I prefer Calgary to Edmonton, but am cheering for any Canadian team to break the curse.
I’d put the Hurricanes on top for now.
