Tour da u.p is a multi-day supported (they haul your luuggage and provide most meals) bicycle tour in Michigan’s Upper Penninsula.
This year it is in the Porcupine Mts area. Day 4 is south boundary road with lunch near Presque Isle falls. I did this in 2007 on the day off (the route didn’t go that way because of road construction) - The falls are awesome.
It looks like a fun ride, N! (May I call you N? N9IWP seems so distant and formal). I was in the Porkies 8-9 years ago for a week of packpacking, and loved it. I live near Lansing, though, so it’s tough to get up there much.
Have you ever done the DALMAC? I’ve done 2, and had a good time - even with the weather we had in 2010. Next year, I’m planning on doing the 5UP route.
I know of DALMAC (mostly through other Tour da U.P riders), but since I live in Minnesota, it would be a long drive (Not that TdUP is a short drive)
The only other multi-day ride I’ve done is Minnesota Parks and Trails. They pick a state park and go out and back in a different direction each day (basically)
