To make a long story short, i just got pranked and ate a turf sandwhich. It was a funny joke but the name sounds nasty. Is the stuff toxic or is it just plastic that will pass through my system. Mods, this isn’t an ask the medical professional thread. It’s a ‘should i be worried enough to seek help’ thread. I apologize for the brevity and possible spelling mistakes. Posting from a cell phone is hard. Thanks in advance for the replies.
 Isn’t astroturf fake plastic grass? How the heck did you manage to unknowingly eat some?!
(I’m sorry I don’t actually have something helpful to say. Hope your system manages alright with it.)
It’s exceptionally toxic, and only I have the antidote.
Now, all we need to do is work out a fair value for me to sell it to you…
(Actually, I suspect it’s completely inert.)
Well, I was at a calculus help session and there was a track meet going on at the same time. I had just arrived and I was absolutely starving so when my girlfriend’s track friend came and offered me an “oreo sandwich” (You might think its weird but if you were to know some of the girls on the track team you’d realize that making oreo sandwiches would actually be fairly low on the weird scale for them), I accepted.
I was working on a problem with Taylor polynomials, which I don’t understand well, so my attention was mostly consumed by that. When the girl offered me the dessert I absentmindedly accepted it and ate it. I tasted something hard in the texture so I looked at it and assumed it was poppyseeds in the bread. I then finished it. Five minutes later another girl came up and warned everyone not to accept the sandwiches. Just in time too; the guy helping me was just about to eat one himself.
Anyway, moral of the story: Don’t accept food while devoting your attention to something that’s a little to advanced for you to grasp.
