Does anyone out there have the BBC dramatised/radio version of the Lord of the Rings, released in a 13-disc set? The copy I have has something wrong with it, so that disc 7, when you put it in the computer to play it, tells you all the names of the tracks for disc 8 (but if you play it, the tracks are clearly NOT the same as the tracks on disc 8…only the track names are wrong).
While it is illegal to download it using Bit Torrent, I do see that it is available on torrent sites.
You could easily choose the one disc you have a problem with. Since you own it, I’d be willing to PM/email you how to download it.
However, I don’t want to post any info. here and if you don’t feel comfortable with downloading it, I understand that as well. Let me know if you want a pm or email.
Did you get the disc info from CDDB? Because mine are just labelled “Track01”, “Track02”, etc on the actual disc. But in iTunes the tracks for my disc 7 show up as disc 8 titles.
(though the info correctly states it is disc 7 of 13)
A ha! I got them! Hubby suggested I open the disk in Windows Media Player rather than iTunes, and here they are:
Opening titles 16:07
The Marshes of the Dead 13:17
The Winged Terror 9:54
The Gate of Helm 4:16
Gandalf Comes to Isengard 1:30
The Battle of Helm’s Deep 10:18
I don’t know how to submit these to gracenote, but I’ll give it a try.
Evidently (according to hubby), iTunes gets its track list from Gracenote, but WMP gets its track list from AMG (All Music Group). I don’t know what this means in practical terms, but at least it means they had the right track names.
