What was the homeowners responses??? I missed the first showing and the later replay was screwed up (Rewinding of interviews and staff imitating the Homeowners’ responses). Can anyone tell me how it ended?
Both couples were positive. The ones whose living room was redone by Hildy (the orange and red room) didn’t seem TOO thrilled, but they were reasonably positive.
While the credits were rolling the designers and the carpenter joined the couples and Davis for a final round of hugs and banter.
In the local Las Vegas newspaper, they were quoted as saying the “live reveal” was really no biggie. They said all their reveals are taped only once, so all you were really witnessing was what you would have normally seen anyway.
And yes, both couples were pleased.
However, considering both rooms originally had all the charm of an Afghani prison cell, it was no wonder they would appreciate any change.
That’s really odd, because I’m on the West coast and watched the “live” (tape delayed) 9:00 show and it was fine. Wouldn’t that have been the same airing as the East coast midnight show?
I think the epsiode will rerun again at noon today (Sunday), and they usually run it again on Tuesday afternoons at four.
The best part was in the beginning when Doug and Hildi were pretending to get married and when they kissed she screeched at him “EWWW! DON’T OPEN YOUR MOUTH!”
That’s funny.
I wonder if they tried to pick crazy people for it and it just didn’t pan out. It was kind of a dud.
In the ad for next week one of the home owners walks around wearing nothing but a tool belt. They should have used that guy for live television…
