Ooooh yeah, I’m going to need to buy that. CoD4 came with my new video card and it has been by far the best FPS I have played in a long time. Hope the multiplayer mode works just as well.
One thing I really like is how FPS’s are going back towards a ‘story’ set up. It’s not like a few years ago when FPS’s felt like multiplayer games with a short solo game taked on for the numpties without broadband.
Call of Duty’s had a good campaign mode since 4 (I don’t remember 3’s being so bad either, but I don’t recall any specifics). It’s just not very replayable.
As of this moment there are only 2 video games that I’m absolutely going to buy this year, Madden 10 and Modern Warfare 2. And even though Madden comes out in August, I’m looking forward to this one more.
I have been playing the shit out of COD 4 lately, trying to catch up to some of my friends that have their gold crosses. I’m only on the 5th Prestige so far, and the grind is starting to make it less fun. I may have to take a break for a bit and then start playing again closer to the launch just to knock the rust off. Then again, I’m not working now, so I have the time to do whatever.
Speak for yourself. I think I’ve replayed the game more time then any other CoD except for 1(and the expansion). I’ve been thinking of replaying it yet again just the past few days.
I still haven’t even tried the mutiplayer, though I hear it’s supposed to be good.
The multiplayer is fantastic; it’s the second-best multiplayer experience I’ve had. My problem with the single-player route is that it manufactures difficulty by streaming bad guys at you. Fortunately, Infinity Ward has supposedly changed that for the new game. I think that Call of Duty’s single player is better than Halo’s, however, Halo’s is more replayable because of co-op modes, and unlockable skulls to change effects and difficulty.
