Please suggest a program that lets you convert your entire music library from iTunes to Windows Media, so you can use it on Android. Also, how can that be done without impairing the music quality?
Assuming your library consists of mp3 and/or m4a files, you don’t have to convert them, as those files should be compatible with Android.
If you still want to convert them, you cannot transcode from one lossy format (mp3, m4a, wma) to another without necessarily losing quality.
Do you just want to load the iTunes library in Windows Media Player? The way to do that is just to point Windows Media Player at the folder where iTunes stores all the music. Windows Media and Android all play the same files.
The only exception would be any sort of DRM. In that situation, I’d probably use Google Play, as described here.
Heck, that might be a good idea anyways, if you want your library to be in the cloud, like it can be on iDevices.
Well, we got the Google Play & Music Manager set up. Darned if we can figure out how to get our iTunes music on there. Thank you
Where is your iTunes music currently stored (i.e. do you have it downloaded to a computer, or is it just “in the cloud”), and in what format? I dunno nothin’ about iTunes, but I assume advice like “point Windows Media Player at the folder where iTunes stores all the music” presumes that you have the music stored on a computer.
It turned out I had to go further in the set up, but when I get to the part where I can Upload Music to Google Play & try to do it from my computer, I get “Can’t Establish Secure Connection”. I try disabling my Antivirus for a short time as suggested but that’s not helping.
Are you using XP?
Don’t think so, where do I check?
Windows 7 Professional
Either: plug phone into computer with USB, change phone to media sync mode, copy music to phone in Windows Explorer, or download Google Play Music Manager to computer, upload all music files, then go to your phone and download from Google Play app. If any format errors occur, it will tell you.

Thing is - we can’t get the Google Play Music Manager to upload the music from our computer? The Connection problem keeps it from going through.
Let me be clear- I’m talking right now about getting my iTunes music uploaded to Google Play Music Manager on my computer. I’m not even to the point where I’m dealing with my phone.
iTunes should be storing all your non-cloud music files at:
C:\Users<Username>\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media
So any ideas about the Can’t Establish Secure Connection hurdle?
OK, so today I clicked onto Music Manager and it started right up.
Looks like it’s uploading now.
We got the music uploaded to Google Play all right, and onto the phone, but it’s gotten kind of jumbled. Are we able to edit the albums & information there like we can in iTunes?
Also, we can’t listen to the music on Bluetooth, listen to it plugged into the radio, and with the headphones. Any recommendation how to access it?
Bump-
So the music has become jumbled, how can we organize this into a proper library & edit the albums & information? Also, we’re having problems accessing the music when on Bluetooth, plugging into the radio, or with the headphones. More advice please.
music.google.com
You can manage your library edit album info etc.
Log into it in browser
Click bars icon top right, pick music library, then pick artist song or album and start editing
Need for info on the headphones issue
Do you mean “more info”? Like what?
