So, I am trying to use a program called BitPIM to transfer MIDI files from my computer to my phone for use as ringtones. Every time I attempt this, I get an exception error. Does anyone here have experience with BitPIM?
If it’s important, I’m using a Sanyo SCP-2300 cell phone.
I’ve used it, but don’t have enough expierece to help you. You might try this board, they’re pretty helpful.
Actually, just figured it out, only now all the midi ringtones are way too quiet on the phone to actually use as ringtones, unless I crank the ringer volume up (and the vibrate function on the phone only works for the lowest and highest volume settings for the ringer, for some bizzare reason). In any case, turning the volume up to the highest setting so I can use the vibrate on the ringer makes even the MIDIs too loud, so does anyone know where I can find some louder MIDIs of the Toreador theme from Carmen (sometimes it seems to be called Habanero) and Hard Day’s Night by the Beatles?
Are you using a MIDI editor. I used Anvil Studio (I think) to edit the MIDI (so they started at a recognizable part instead of some slow quiet intro). You might be able to adjust the volume with something like that.
