Transferring games from one cell phone to another

I’m about to transfer my Verizon number from the LG VX5500 that came with the plan to my wife’s old LG VX8300. Problem is, before I found out what a phenominal piece of crap my phone is, I paid for a few games which I’d like to transfer.

Does anybody know how I can go about this? Searching for a solution on the internet… well, let’s just say it saddens me deeply.

There is a reason for that.

Anyhoo, either your games can be saved onto a mini sd card , if the phone came with one or you have do download a program called bitpim.

And hope.

I’l poke around and see if there is a way of doing it without pulling out your hair.

Just found out more info, in short your pooched.

No matter if its possible to transfer over your purchases from one hand set to another , Verizon has a digital sig on the app that coresponds to the ESN number of the handset, moving from one handset to another , will cause the handset to delete the “unpaid App”

At this time , your only recourse is to contact verizon and see what they can do for you , in terms of getting a credit on a previously paid game, however the odds on this are not good.

Somehow I already knew…

Thanks for the info. I’ll contact them tomorrow and see what they say.

I go through Sprint, so I’m not sure how Verizon works it, but with my last phone, I paid the “unlimited usage” price on the games which gave me use of them for as long as I wanted (instead of paying a monthly fee). When I bought my new phone from them later, I just went to their website and under a link like “my paid stuff” or something, I could have the games sent to my new phone. It was great.

I will also verify that you can not transfer games from one Verizon phone to another.
