Translation Help Needed.. not sure what language this is...

One of my friends said:

It’s about this Lebanese model that got into an accident in Spain & I’ve heard about it on the tv {with pics, very disturbing pics :(} & I wanted to see what they said about it online but I found one page with De bodde i Sandmoen, hadde ingen barn, men ei pleiedatter som hette Karen Sandmo in it, so I’m wondering what it says, whether it’s about her or not.
Who knows what this means?

De bodde i Sandmoen, hadde ingen barn, men ei pleiedatter som hette Karen Sandmo
Anyone?

It’s Norwegian. I don’t know much of the language, but it’s about someone who had no children (“hadde ingen barn”), but a fosterdaughter (“men ei pleiedatter”). The site it’s on looks like one of those genealogy sites that list people and their realtionships.

Hmm. Thanks, I’ve relayed the answer to her.

Other ideas, anyone?

She lived in Sandmoen - would be my guess to: ‘De bodde i Sandmoen’.

So: She lived in Sandmoen, had no children, but a foster-daughter named Karen Sandmo.

[I thought it was Swedish :stuck_out_tongue: ]

Thanks!

You’re very welcome! I just hope I didn’t make a fool of myself. Where’s The Gaspode when you need him, huh.

I don’t think you did… my friend thanks you, too.

Dunno where he is…

That’s how I would translate it too. But I speak Danish, really.
