Travellers premieres tonight. The premise of the show is a bit more like “Quantum Leap” except there is a team. A group of people travel back in time and take over the bodies of people in the past to fix things which once went wrong. Although the scope of the fixes are bigger than “Quantum Leap” which was usually focused on personal lives; whereas, this show seems to be focused on saving the future of humanity.
I’m intrigued and I’m hoping the show will be great!
Nothing personal, but your description was both my introduction to this show and my disincentive to watch it.
I came to harbour quite the dislike for Quantum Leap in its day.
I enjoyed the heck out of the premiere. The characterizations are fantastic. The focus, at least for the premiere, was not the necessary correction but on setting up the story. There’s enough mystery to be compelling and interesting. One thing I noticed is that one of the characters was pleased to be able to hear birds, suggesting that in the future there are none or they are rare. In my view, the show has definitely earned at least another three or four episodes to see where they go from here. This could easily become a must watch show for me.
