Treason is now official policy of the Republican National Committee

In censure of Cheney and Kinzinger, RNC calls events of January 6 ‘legitimate political discourse’.

Here’s what the chair said:

“Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger crossed a line,” McDaniel said. “They chose to join Nancy Pelosi in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse that had nothing to do with violence at the Capitol.”

How can anyone support such scum as today’s Republican Party?

Let’s see how long before someone engages in “legitimate political discourse” with these clowns and how fast charges are pressed.

And then there’s this:

The Republican legislature in Arizona was pushing a bill that would simply have allowed the legislature to overturn any election results they didn’t like. This blatant attempt to subvert democracy was blocked by the House speaker, apparently one of those obsolete old-timers from the days when there was “integrity”. The bill’s lead sponsor called the action a “lynching”.

Which is what he would have called such a bill if it were offered in a State with a democratic majority.

Sedition.

Of course he did.

Rusty Bowers is a party-line republican and this is the first indication that he has backbone. I’m actually surprised he did this.

They only call it “legitimate political discourse” because None Dare Call It Treason.

It was only inevitable after their 2020 platform consisted of a single page reading “We believe whatever Trump tells us to.”

Attempted sedition, now.

Ronna is on twitter complaining that “engaged in legitimate political discourse” of course doesn’t include the violent ones. It’s not like “being vague and complaining when someone make specific inferences” isn’t a standard political ploy, but come on!

Actual sedition; attempted coup, but the sedition still remain sedition.
