Just don’t draw a picture of Universe Man.
I should like to point out that, having access to Triangle Man’s public record, I can say without reservation that he has been known to express negative opinions regarding Person Man and Particle Man, but the jury is still out with regard to his opinions on Universe Man.
His overall sour demeanor could be due to his never having earned above…
Minimum WAGE! * he-ya! *
I’ve loved that song since I bought Flood some 15 years ago.
Anybody have any clue what the lyrics to the song mean?
(On a side note, they actually had a free afternoon concert at Rice University around 1990-91. Two guys with a lot of weird instruments, including an electric accordion, tubas, etc. It was standing room only in the Rice Memorial Center auditorium, and my friends and I ended up right in front of one of the speakers. Great concert, but my ears were ringing for days. Good times… )
Didn’t TMBG admit that it didn’t mean anything, that it was just written as something fun to sing?
If you treat it as a Christian allegory, it (unfortunately) makes a lot of sense.
Triangle Man = Holy Trinity, Universe Man = God, Particle Man = Science, etc.
I’d really hate to think that it actually was a Christian song though…
You’d think we would have figured this out by now.
What the hell is Triangle Man’s problem, anyway?
What’s the meaning of the song “Particle Man”?
What the hell is Particle Man about?
Can I add this to the discussion please:
Jim
Thanks for your input. I have considered your suggestions, and have come to the conclusion that the answer is:
Triangle Man, if he’s prepared.
Ask the Hotel detective. She’s on the Case.
