Trilogy of Terror

I remember seeing the original when I was young and being scared shitless by that little doll. the other two stories weren’t as memorable, but that little doll was creepy as hell. Of course, I’d seen some similar little movies and the like beforehand, but the doll itself was terrifying (I remember Sci-Fi channel kept showing a little silent short film about a woman alone in an apartment with a killer vantriloquist dummy).

Last year, I read Legend, and discovered that Richard Matheson actually wrote the story. I was still creeped out by it. That doll was a hell of a lot more terrifying than Chucky or any other little friendly looking type doll-gone-bad, and the image still creeps me out.

Well, of course, I was 18 when Trilogy of Terror was first on teevee, and when you’re 18, everything is pretty much a hoot.

The director of “Troilogy of Terror” Dan Curtis, also directed another creepy movie w/Karen Black called “Burnt Offerings.”…Check it out.

Dan Curtis also directed another little project you may recall, it was called Dark Shadows.

And…correct me if I’m wrong “Kolschac the Night stalker” movie…ya know, the one about the vampire not the short lived show, which by the way I believe Richard Matheson wrote.
