For those who missed it, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog had a lengthy feature on Conan last night in which he visited the American Idol auditions in Hawaii, and then things got even funnier.
I believe they rerun Conan shows the next day on Comedy Central, so check it out.
Also, there’s more from Hawaii, which should be on Conan tonight.
I usually don’t find that sort of humor all that funny but I was laughing so hard last night that my sides were hurting. I especially loved when Triumph told one of the hopefuls that he would always be a star to him and by star, he meant a large gassy object that’s easily seen from far away.
Ack! I missed most of the beginning of his bit. Began when they were escorting him out.
I loved the weather report. That’s about what happens every time I ever complained about the weather to my mainland friends and relatives. “Holy crap I’m freezing! It’s nearly 65 degrees.”
Best joke was when he told the anchor that he was on the fast-track to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. That and the references to his hair made the bit, because for the rest of the bit, that man’s barely-masked hatred provided constant amusement, especially juxtaposed by the pretty lady’s nice laughing.
Me too. They just released a Live at the US Festival DVD, but it’s doubtful they will reunite. Their split between Rik Emmet and the others was bitter and very similar to that of Roger Waters and Pink Floyd.
I saw the first half of a “Making the Video: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog” on Mtv (his song was called “I Keed,” and he operated under the nickname “T. Doggy”). If you’re a Triumph fan, I highly suggest you check it out. Hilarious.
According to Triumph’s website, the Mtv spot will be re-airing over the next couple of weeks, and he’ll be appearing at Jay Leno’s lead guest tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 11th.
