Candlestick Park, which opened in 1960 and is the former sea level stadium of the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers, is located next to the geographical feature in San Francisco Bay called Candlestick Point.

There was an intervening post that I did not see because I did not refresh before posting. I even bolded the word gate, to aid any user who might have difficulty determining what I was playing off on, and it shouldn’t have been that hard to find…
