Trivia game for Trek Dopers

Well, Aesiron got 4 of the 7 I was thinking of. These 2 I didn’t know about. I can confirm the Riker one on the web, but the clsoest I find for Wesley is a “multiple fracture of the right arm.” Do you have a cite?

that brings the total to 9, plus I thought of another one last night, so it’s 10. 6 have been guessed. 4 remain (including an obvious one.)

At what point do we reveal the answers if they haven’t been guessed?

All right–here’s an easy TOS question:
What were the names of the first three characters to beam down to Gothos?

Ah nevermind, I reread the OP regarding answer revealing.

So, for my questions:
3 tries left on the Bajoran spider
2 tries left on the DS9/ENT connection
1 try left on the removed body-part list.

And a new (easy) question:
Which actor has been in the most trek series?

Well lets see Kirk and Sulu kind of disapeared… So the search party consisted of Spock, McCoy and the every angry Lt. Jaeger

Ok according to the Captain’s who are the People who’s tactics were “Required reading at the academy”?

has Majel Barrett missed any series yet?

and you had to read Garth (kirk) and I think Picard read Kirk

As far as I can tell, she hasn’t been in Enterprise yet, but bingo, TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, and VOY. (And B5 and Earth:FC to boot!)

iva???

OLueOy!

And she produces Andromeda.

Here’s an interesting one. Name the Oscar winning actors / actresses that have had guest appearances on TOS and TNG. (I never watched DS9 or Enterprise so I can’t verify those answers, but someone else feel free).

Whoopi Goldberg - Guinan of TNG
Louise Fletcher - Kai Winn of DS9

Hmm… do movies count?

F. Murray Abraham - Insurrection

Oops. You’re right. A quick google search shows that I mis-remembered the episode.

Not quite. In fact, one of the three you named never actually beamed down at all. And no, being kidnapped by the brat doesn’t count, so Kirk and Sulu aren’t among the three. For bonus points, name the positions held by all three members of the landing party.

gonzoron, if we count movies, we could say that Spock’s entire body was replaced. I’d say that’s a non-cosmetic replacement.

Heh, heh… I suppose that counts, but Spock was already one of the missing answers. Here’s my list:

  1. Picard - heart
  2. Geordi - eyes
  3. Nog - leg
  4. Worf - spine
  5. Spock - brain (In the classic episode, “Spock’s Brain” of course) or whole body as Balance pointed out
  6. Data - I thought this one was obvious. He lost his head in “Time’s Arrow” and I’m pretty sure he’s detatched other parts too at various times.
  7. Dax - symbiont (This one might not count, since it’s really a separate organism, but you be the judge.)

The one I came up with later:

  1. Neelix - Lost his lungs in the episode “The Phage,” they were replaced with a hologram(!) and later a transplant from Kes.

plus

  1. Riker - arm

BTW, I specified “non-cosmetic” to avoid all the surgically altered disguises from TNG. (Ridges, ears, noses, etc.)

Oh, and Picard definately counts for his heart, but might count for the missing bits the Borg replaced with implants, too. If he does, Seven probably goes on the list too, but I don’t know for sure since I quit Voyager soon after they did stuff like holographic lungs.

I can’t believe I forgot Spock’s brain. :smack:

Well, we’ve all been trying to for years. Someone was bound to finally succed. Congrats!

Well, the first to beam down was probably Jackson since he called the ship to beam back and promptly keeled over.

The rescue party cosisted of thee following

McCoy Doctor
Jaeger Geophysicist
Desalle Navigator

Those were the names I was looking for. I think DeSalle was at the Helm at Jaeger at Nav at the beginning, but Spock specified Jaeger’s expertise in geophysics as the reason for including him in the party (with the implied “despite the fact that you’re an undisciplined hothead”). Close enough. Well done.

I’m still working on some of the more mind-bending questions here.

In 1952, while working as a Los Angeles policeman, Gene Roddenberry sold his first Sci-Fi TV script titled The Secret Defense of 117 for the Chevron Theater with Ricardo Montalban!!! in the starring role.

I’ll be back with some actual Trek stuff in a little bit.

Okay, we’ve waited a little bit. Give us some Trek stuff now!!!
