Trivial Movie Questions

Okay, I intend this thread to be primarily filled with odd tidbits of trivial points of movies. I initially wanted to title this ‘stupid movie questions’ but I didn’t feel it captured exactly what I was going for.

In any event, here is an example:

In the movie Jeepers Creepers, the monster is seen driving a tow truck with the license plate ‘BEATINGU’ (IIRC). Justin Long, if I remember correctly, says that it means ‘beating you’. The astute movie goer, by the end of the film, will recognize that it more probably means ‘Be eating you’.

Now, my trivial movie question isn’t actually about the meaning of the license plate. Instead it has to do with the origin of the plate itself. Namely, how did the creature get that personalized plate? I mean, when I think about this, does this mean that he has to have a license? A social security card? I envision the creature waiting in line at the DMV…

I could be wrong, but this was prior to the ability to register for such things online - and even if it was after such times, it didn’t appear that the creature had a computer or an internet connection.

So that’s my example. Now then, what are your trivial movie questions?

That’s not trivial. That is, in fact, my biggest question about that movie. At the instant that I figured out that a monster had a vanity plate, I said, “screw this” and turned it off.

How does Jason Voorhees eat? Even assuming he cannibalizes his kills, he can’t kill that many before they’d just perimiter the area and nape the place, plus all tourist areas have off-seasons, and I can’t imagine him pushing a cart through the local Walmart Superstore.

How did the spewing zombies in 28 Days Later get out of England, as was strongly implied? It’s not like anyone is a carrier for the disease, since they turn into zombies within seconds of exposure, so are they running through the Chunnel? I rather doubt they were buying plane or ferry tickets.

More importantly, which DMV allows 8 letters for a vanity plate?

Another thing- this monster is supposed to come alive for just a few days every 15 years or so, isn’t he?

So… he got that car and vanity plate 15 years ago, parked it for 15 years, and picked it up again after he woke up (“Boy, sure hope I put gas in it 15 years ago”)? Or, he woke up after his last 15 year nap, thought, “I only have a few days to feast on human flesh, but first, I’ll buy a car (probably spend the better part of a day at the dealer’s), then get a vanity plate, and have them rush it to me. Sure hope they get it to me before I go back into a 15 year coma.”

Do you actually mean 28 Days Later, in which case the movie seems to be reasonably clear that the disease was confined to England.

If you mean 28 Weeks later it is strongly suggested that the boy, (the son of the world’s most connected janitor) is a ‘carrier’ like his mother. I.E. that he can be (and is) infected with the rage virus without becoming a rage zombie himself. However he still carries the active virus, which can be passed onto others through bodily fluids. And if you recall the boy was flown out of England in the chopper.

It could happen.

Actually I figured he made it himself .

Here’s one I noticed while rewatching “The Shawshank Redemption” a few weeks ago:

When the Warden discovers the Bible with the cutout to hide the rock hammer, the page opposite the cutout is…

…the first page of the book of Exodus!

Not quite the intent of the OP, but cute anyway.
