My problem is that they’ve given me enough reason not to believe them. They contradict themselves, claiming to both be an long time lurker but not actually understand anything about the board. They’re deliberately antagonistic, trying to start fights in ATMB. They even used the troll “lol” at the end of a sentence, as that’s clearly the point.
I’m a fan of calling this stuff out before it becomes a problem, not waiting to see. And I don’t really get why people seem to be feeling sorry for the guy who continues to be an ass.
Sure, maybe he shapes up and becomes a useful poster. It would take work (as they’d need to also start posting thoughtfully, and not just whatever single sentence pops in their head). But they could do it. However, I’ll wait until they give me reason to actually believe them, first.
I know several trolls on this board who acted like this guy at first. Trolls I stupidly defended.

Here’s something I’ve noticed common to trolls here: y’all’s main refuge is “I stated my opinion” as though that’s sacred. Look, everyone has a right to an opinion. What you do not have a right to is for a completely asinine, uninformed, ridiculous opinion to be treated with respect.
