Wielding a ban hammer.
That was a very well done show.
OK, how did you do that? I can’t see anything at all, not even in the reply box.
Try clicking the “quote whole post” speech bubble icon when replying.
Pops up a bright red box saying “Post can’t be empty.”
First click the Reply arrow under the post here ---------------------------------------^
then in the dialog box
^-------Quote Whole Post here
Then you get this included:
Without the preview, not sure why.
Yeah, that’s what I did. But I couldn’t post it unless I also put something in the reply box.
Isn’t that always true?
I thought so. But I can’t see anything at all in @Knowed_Out’s post #3811 above. That’s why I asked him, because I didn’t think it was possible to do that.
He has a video link. For some reason you can’t see it, usually a browser/skin issue.
Ah. Thanks for explanation.
I thought the reason you can’t see anything in post #3811 is because there is no post #3811.
All kidding aside, I didn’t see anything either until I reloaded the page three times.
Whoops!
If I click on the time-since-posted at the upper right of the post, it does indeed say it’s post #3811, though. There must have been a lot of posts deleted from this thread – I think that’s what causes the discrepancies (smaller ones are pretty common) between post number in the sidebar and according to the post itself.
(now where did I put that time machine . . . )
It’s what happens when there are a lot of posts in the thread that you have on “ignore”.
The period should be inside the quotation marks. That is all.
If you’re using logical punctuation, it goes outside as the period isn’t part of the quote.
I don’t have anything on ignore.
That is correct.
Or I should say “correct”.
How did I do what? It’s a vimeo link, and on my side, it looks like the first frame of the video.
Anyway, it’s a snippet from an SNL skit of Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford debating Jimmy Carter. In response to a question about budgeting, Ford says “I was told there would be no math involved in this.”
