That last post I read has done it. Either chupachabra is a troll or a Russian stooge of some sort. His assumptions and his pronouncements seem to have little root in reality and I’ve had enough of him doom and glooming every thread he gets into.

If it’s a thread about the Ru/UK war and he shows up, he always has this incredible “everything and everyone is doomed” attitude. I haven’t noticed him in other threads, so this could be confirmation bias.
I think it is only that thread. Unlike 2 or the 3 posters that I have ejected from that thread, I don’t think he’s trolling. I think he is genuinely gloomy about the outcome. I don’t agree, but I don’t think it is trolling. Especially as at a quick glance through other posts, he is not doing anything like this elsewhere on the board.
He may be genuinely gloomy, but he’s still trolling that thread IMO. No matter the facts, he always interprets them in the best possible way for Putin, as if Putin is an unstoppable force of nature.

Not just that thread. Also made doom and gloom predictions about Trump beating Biden back in 2020, among other similar political predictions.
I don’t recall for certain, but I believe also some predictions about the 2024 elections of a similar vein.
Seems to take pessimism to an unrealistic extreme, far, far beyond what evidence, reason, or historic precedent seem to suggest.
I never saw Eeyore as a troll though.

In FQ, there’s a thread about research into inherited characteristics, started by slicedalone. What are the chances that this isn’t a hidden scientific racism thread – I talk about eye color, sickle cell, height, and he throws in IQ, seemingly as an after thought.
I write: “it’s not at all obvious to me what you’re asking about”, but that was a lie – I’m pretty sure he’s trying to get a scientific racism thread going.
