Looks like we have a bit of trollery buzzing around the Café’s “TV lineup” thread.
I noticed that last night. A bit feisty for a CS discussion – not just “I disagree,” but, “you are wrong.”
To be fair, the feisty poster was not the first one to post “you’re wrong” in that thread. They just picked it up and ran further with it.
I don’t think that was trolling.
I found it a little odd, but that could be an additional SDMB motto.

Not at first but the “jumped off a bridge” and “half a cookie” cracks look to me like arguing for the sake of arguing. IOW, trolling.
I used to belong to a messageboard whose political forum posters sounded like the regulars at the O.J. Bar and Grill. I tried to be a little more faithful to facts than they were used to, and I earned the nickname
although I’m not sure everyone intended the punctuation.
I was about to come in here to defend Mr. Zbuzzbomb, but then I saw that his profile was hidden, often a sign that the poster is a sock.
I was borderline on that one, but a hidden profile pushes it into “permanent ignore list” for me.
Meh, I’d say just being a bit of a snarky dick.

I bring to your attention a poster, Lewis47, who over the course of 8½ years has confined himself to a relatively narrow range of interests, to wit, the following OPs being the totality of his oeuvre:
February 2015: What If Everyone Could Swap Bodies
April 2015: Switching Bodies
December 2016: Spell [that let’s you switch bodies]
March 2020: Switching Bodies
June 2023: Body Swapping
He’s definitely not single-minded, though. In April 2020 he broke with tradition in his one and only post outside his own body-switching threads; he bumped a 17-year old thread, “Do you think a normal guy would ever wear women’s undies?”, to answer in the affirmative.
Whatever answer he’s looking for in the body-swapping threads, he’s apparently been unable to get it despite persistently asking over a period of eight years. He may never get his answer as the latest venture into the topic is currently locked, but you have admire the dedication.
This poster is already being reviewed in the Modloop. ECG is on top of it.
I assumed he was. But I subscribe to the philosophy that in this dreary world we must never pass up an opportunity for amusement!

I feel bad for posters like that. They’re clearly not getting something they very badly want to explore and they end up poking around the internet, fumbling for poor substitutes.
Doesn’t mean we’re the place for it, but I don’t really think of it as trolling.
“body switching porn” gets 7,860,000 results . . . very busy boy if he’s gone through them all.
Has he ever caused any trouble? I didn’t read them but do his other threads go off the rails? I don’t see how just posting about one subject is harmful to anyone else here. I mean, there is the guy who only posts about the Falklands and that doesn’t seem to bother anyone.
