It was a little weird that he specified the body of a good-looking white man. Some of his earlier threads get sexual in weird ways. The responses from not-him have been fine, sometimes interesting. I could go either way on this one.
It would be really, really funny if this was a sock. Think about it.
As a good-looking white man, I’ll just say that it doesn’t really bother me.
Shouldn’t that be “his body of work”?
There have been more remakes of Freaky Friday than that
Pending actually reading the threads, put me in the not-all-weirdos-are-trolls category. It’s not uncommon for cis-het males to fantasize about being a female having sex with a man.
Also, some people get obsessed with a topic.
Not all banned posters are trolls, some are banned for being “too odd” I guess. Especially strangely one subject posters.
Yeah, fair enough. I know we’ve banned people who have obvious mental heath issues and who were probably not being helped by talking to us.
AIRI, being a ‘one trick pony’ was a, potentially, bannable offense . . . but someone forgot to put it in the latest revision of the rules.
An excellent way to put it.
There is another bit in there that covers it.
Not perfect for these cases, but I think it gives the general idea.
Hm. Jack Chalker passed away a while back, so it’s not him.
Like that guy who would start a thread every couple years (including under different accounts) about his “shrunken people” fetish or whatever.
Jay something? Something Jay? Meh, whatever. What a weirdo…
ISWYDT
ECG better be careful not to touch the same odd object at the same time as him.
And especially don’t wish that you could swap places with them while doing so. Then the chances of exchanging the experience would approach 100%.
Actually this one happened fast. The poster in question is banned and latest thread cornfielded.
I always interpreted that as posters who just kept causing problems, who constantly require moderator attention. I wouldn’t have thought it would apply to someone who rarely posts.
The main problem I had is that this one in particular seems a bit like it’s fetish fuel, and there is a rule against that. And it cast all their previous posts in a different light. And, yeah, that’s kinda creepy and unwanted.
Not saying I disagree with modding him. Just that I thought that rule was for a different situation, basically posters who would try to ride the line.
Good point and sounds right. I was barely involved with this one. I’m not really up on the whole thing.
I just quoted the bit that is almost our catch-all.
If you’re referring to the incident with the dragon, all you did was give the troll a little nudge out the door.

Not perfect for these cases, but I think it gives the general idea.
In what way is he “trouble”? Is he generating a lot of flags?
ETA: make that “was”, not “is”. Sock, I assume…
