I hope you know I was being ironic in using QFT. After all, people were objecting to the use of acronyms, and what I “quoted for truth” was a comment objecting to acronyms.
(I tried to make it clear by saying I was deliberately being an asshole. Because I was, for the sake of humor.)
Uh, okay. That’s what I wanted. I specifically said you were mistaken. But that WE overreacted. And then you overreacted back. Both of you now seem to agree.
My nice post, trying not to be mean to either side, seemed to work. I just wish being nice didn’t take so much time and extra words.
Going out on a limb here, because I haven’t looked up at all what it really is, but I’m guessing it’s legislation passed to put restrictions on specific breeds. Such as, say, pit bulls. Because the name is somewhat self-explanatory.
Ditto. I have no idea what “BSL” means, and i bet if i googled it a lot of things would come up. But “breed specific legislation”, in the context of a thread where people are arguing about whether “pit bulls” are inherently dangerous, is totally obvious.
I mean, as long as we aren’t letting this go and continuing this hijack, since you pointed out context, I will point out that if you were to look up BSL in the context of dogs, as you point out is obvious about the thread, for instance, googling “BSL dog”, then it is the first thing to come up. (and the second, third, fourth, fifth and so on.)
Anyway, I already apologized for my mistake in judgement and tried to explain what I learned from it, so I don’t know what else you all want from me. Maybe I 'll just go away now.
Yup, googling “BSL” gives me a lot of stuff about British sign language, lots of articles about something you can add in to Minecraft (no doubt because i Google a lot of stuff about Minecraft). I have to scroll pretty fast down the page to find “breed specific legislation”.
