You didn’t know it at the time. That’s fine. But you also didn’t apologize once you found out you were wrong. Nor did you apologize when you found out that LHOD did not in fact lie.

You really need to work on this temper you have when people point out your flaws. You seem to hate that more than you hate someone who wants to kill immigrants. That’s not good.
And, yeah, I know, you’ll probably hate me for a while. Heck, my post is probably too long, but I’m trying to get you to see things you are not seeing. And it’s too tough to walk on eggshells all the time when replying to you.

Not that TOWP’s weren’t reprehensible enough, but he didn’t specifically say he wanted to murder children. He said he wanted illegal immigrants crossing the border to be shot, which by extension includes children.
So this appears to be the problem.
My post is being equated to calling LHoD a liar. I didn’t intend it as such. I feel there are many reasons people end up putting words in other’s mouths. Usually reinterpreting what someone said differently from what they meant.
However, I hate nitpicking and I hate fights over the meaning of a word or words.
So as many posters are telling me I called @Left_Hand_of_Dorkness a liar, I do sincerely apologize for that. I did not intend to imply you were lying. If I did I would have used the word. I don’t tend to mince words. I think you probably know that about me. I will be careful about that phrase in the future and I did not this you were lying. I apologize for making it sound like you were.
As to the 30% bit, I hope to hell the percentage of people that think shooting border crossers is OK is a heck of a lot lower. I was talking specifically about how many people agreed with TOWP on immigrants coming across the Mexican Border.

For me, I try to be pretty careful how I use words. I don’t always succeed, but when I am careful, it’s frustrating when I’m basically told otherwise, especially by someone I respect.
