Trolls R Us Resurrections

You got it.
Son-of-a-wrek fries turkey.

So far, no fires or 3rd degree burns.

I worry.

Just the usual wrek then?

I quit responding to his threads. Not that I know all that much about different languages, anywhoo.

But he’s feeding off this attention.
Maybe innocent of the fact that what he’s doing is a troll behavior.

The Dope is probably the last people he’s got to listen.
Can you imagine the dinner table conversation at his house?

Kid “Why is XYZ not spoken on that deserted island?”
Dad “Not this again,egads!?”
Kid “But, shit Dad, I just wanna know.”
Mom “Language!!”

Eh, as I stated upthread, their actions in an earlier thread where they prodded another poster about the rules felt… too smug. Could still be an smug young’n going “ha ha, you got in trouble” but felt a touch too ready. Not 100% certain (as I said upthread) but that one increased my troll/trock percentages noticeably.

Yep. He’s kind of a smart ass.

Right animal, wrong descriptor.

It happened again, this time in the Ken Paxton thread in P&E. This time not cornfielded, just hidden.

They’ve been here for 3 months almost to the day and they are still leaving turds on the board. That’s a lot of rope for a trock.

He has only the one warning so far. What I saw this morning was off-topic but not something we typically warn posters for unless they’ve already been modnoted for such behavior.

Thus far only a few flags and the blatant one got the poster the one warning.

Probably not a troll and just a rare for this board, rightwing poster.

That said, if he continues to try to hijack threads or makes posts that easily would result in the same, he’ll get warnings pretty easily also.

Fair enough. Maybe I’m just biased because he rarely pops up for me except when there’s something hinky going on. I don’t think we’ve overlapped otherwise.

Should we have an Omnibus thread here for total horse’s asses, when they nonetheless aren’t trolls per se?

Because Dinsd*le sure is being one in the Google Maps death thread, blaming the driver for his demise and not the idiots who failed to make sure the bridge was signed and closed off.

I almost mentioned him here. To me, he has the same issues Max does. But Max has more empathy and social awareness, so he irritates me less. So I put Dins on temporary ignore. It’s ridiculous how mad he can make me, because explaining his issues requires so much. (And makes me feel like an ass.)

I will say this much: I think he has no grasp of subtext in conversations, and is ignorant to the implications of what he says. He thinks people getting mad at him are just making up things he didn’t say.

And I also think he has trouble understanding empathy. It can sometimes feel like explaining humanity to an alien.

OK to be fair he did assail the local PTB’s for not being on the ball with warning signs and such.

Dinsdale is being a total ass, but IMO he’s also veering into trolling territory in that thread. He’s now trying to argue that “off course the city should be responsible for posting a warning about unsafe conditions on a private drive. They put up signs about hidden driveways and deer crossings, and the city doesn’t own the deer.”

I question his smarts, but no one is seriously that dumb. That’s just throwing shit at the wall.

Don’t forget about his other current thread about how terrible it was that a pep squad allowed a mentally disabled girl to perform with them at a pep rally, thereby ruining the performance for the audience.

Not possible.

You have to remember how low of a bar we’re talking about.

I think they both have a huge empathy deficit, but in very different ways.

In Max’s case I’d speculate that it derives from being neuroatypical, because he’s sometimes perceptive and capable of complex reasoning while at other times seems to lack common sense, to lack the kind of elementary social intuition that allows most people to distinguish obvious good from obvious evil without deep philosophical enquiry. I think he’s a well meaning person who has managed to reason himself into some reprehensible views.

Whereas Dinsdale just strikes me as an old fart oblivious to his own massive privilege who views himself as open-minded to these newfangled progressive ideas but needs to ask questions because the greater concern is that political correctness should not go too far.

I have to agree, I think he’s trolling. For an attorney (as he supposedly is) to ask this is surely trolling:

Do I have to put a sign on my driveway telling people not to drive on it if there is a danger? Why should I presume anyone is driving over my private road when they have not been invited?

Because he damn well knows the difference between those situations.

Am I seeing an argument that Dinsdale is an ass, possibly moving into troll at least for that thread, but Max_S is more acceptable, because he’s just got all the affect of a Replicant?

:dagger: :running_man:

Someone should give him a Voigt-Kampff test.
