Sorry about that. I probably should have reported it instead. I did think it might be somebody so invested in the (at least partly accurate) historical situation that they were blind to the implications of what they were saying.
Oh, no blame at all. The intersection of “believe women” and “white woman uses privilege to attack Black male” is a worthy topic of discussion. I was going to respond until I read to the end and realized his only argument was “don’t believe women.”
See, if you’re male and you agree with a woman about something involving gender relations, or advocate for feminist principles, or push back against criticism of a woman from a man, the only possible reason is that you have a “savior complex”.
Apparently, it’s unthinkable that a man might just support a woman’s viewpoint because he honestly believes that she is (or might be) right. Nothing but a “savior complex” can explain his behavior.
And if such a man doesn’t rush to side with any woman whatsoever who’s having some conflict with some man, it can only be because he’s “scared off”. Not because, y’know, he used his rational consciousness to come to the conclusion that he’s not necessarily in favor of this particular woman’s views in this particular situation.
