I prefer when someone participates in a conversation that they have started.
I think most of us prefer that.
True. If you ask people to educate you, and they do, and that was actually what you wanted, I think you ought to say ‘thanks’.
Partly because it’s polite. And partly because not doing so leaves at least some of us wondering whether that was actually what was wanted, or whether what that poster thought they’d get was either a whole lot of agreement along the lines of How Dare Anybody Think Black People Are Disadvantaged Compared To White People And That White People Ought To Do Something About It, or some miscellaneous weak noise that they thought they knew how to easily argue against.
But it is possible that a person is that clueless about history and modern society. And it’s possible that somebody that clueless about those things is also clueless about how to post on a message board.
(One of the cats typed 36 in there. I’m clueless as to what he meant by that, and have removed it.)
We may have dodged a bullet. That could have been the “go” signal if other online cats saw it.
Or it could be the hold signal that stops the release of Cathulhu. You may have doomed us all!!
“Fhtagn” is the sound a cat makes when they cough up a hairball.
Zing!! What makes that funny is the way it came out of nowhere. The essence of great humour is the unexpected!
Maybe Cathulhu will be nice to me if I scratch their ears properly and make an offering of cat food?
Treat Cathulhu properly, and you will be it’s favorite food!
Have you been reading Don Martin again ?!
Darth Kittious: "Execute Order 36.”
No, though I used to, I had some of his books once upon a time. He and Sergio Aragones were my favorites in Mad.
I’ve more recently read Lovecraft…

I came here for trolls and got kitties. Yay!
That’s just what the kitties want us to think!
That looks more like a pencil than a lightsaber. (now I wonder what’s cooler, a cat that can handle a lightsaber or a pencil?) Cool cat anyway.
I’ve always heard that the pencil is mightier than the lightsaber.
That’s perfect!
Oh, you’re correct about that. The behavior we put up with from cats (and children for that manner) would absolutely be trolling by any rational human standard.
Wolfpup threw it together when I mentioned (back in the cat avatar thread) I had considered using the base image with a bit of cropping and cleaning as “Darth Kitteous” to offset the new Kenobi-Kat. And another poster said the paw position was purrrrfect for a lightsaber. I’m sure if they or another poster wanted to do a more detailed piece of work they could.
