I have a cat who handles pencils all the time.
Granted, he handles them down onto the floor, and has shown no signs I’ve seen of using them to write with. But he definitely handles them.
(It was a different cat who typed the 36. I’ve seen him handle a pencil too, but it’s less common.)

I’m not sure if this is a troll or not. Sounds very much like the kind of stupid shit you’d hear in a bar when someone opines about a complicated subject with a simplistic, wrong and unworkable “solution” that they think they’ve brilliantly come up with.
So perhaps not a troll, just Dunning-Kruger. Perhaps.
Their response to me in that thread pretty much proves under the bridge dwelling.
As you say, that name alone isn’t just pinging Troll-dar, it’s grabbing by both hands and shaking it in the air.
It’s the content of the two posts that sway me to my opinion that they’re trolling.

It’s the content of the three posts now; the last one he just flat out lied about my post. He’s either a troll or a complete imbecile. (I know; both is not out of the question.)
I’m just going to go ahead and peg Persimmon as a sock, based on posting history. 4 topics viewed, 3 topics created, zero posts created, and 11 minutes of read time over the last year. Right now it’s in the maintenance phase: building up a history consisting of low-effort threads that will lend it an air of legitimacy when it finally gets taken out of the drawer to do whatever trollish nonsense the account-holder has in mind.
