Sadly, jimmy no-commonsense did reply to the thread with a one liner that a 10 year old would have considered tired and lame. I humbly suggest that since they didn’t self ban as we had hoped, that they just accelerate the “more trouble than it’s worth” ban. I mean, after all, their first post broke multiple rules, and @What_Exit was merciful in just tossing the whole thing into the Pit. Their singular response shows zero effort or intent to be a part of the community, so why bother?

The majority of responses in that troll’s thread were intentionally and justifiably frivolous. I salute those who made an honest attempt to appeal to reason, but this is a Trumpist so that’s pretty futile. I posted there mainly to amuse myself, and if it amused anyone else that’s a bonus. That’s about all the attention the troll deserves.

Yeah, one thing I’ve seen said here many times is that if your actions give you the appearance of trolling you’re going to be treated as a troll, even if you post something in sincerity.
It’s like… Let’s say there’s a rule about making rude sounds like fake fart noises in a place, and you let out a large, real loud fart in amidst some people. If you were holding that fart in so that you could let it out where it would be most disruptive, you don’t get to make the excuse that it was a real fart and you couldn’t help it.
