So… the thread is gone. Does that mean I called it right?
Oh, I cornfielded that this morning, there were no flag.
It was a returning sock. I caught in on my AM check.
Bunch of clever people being led by their science noses in that moon reflector thread…
Nah, pops up from time to time on science threads. Not as bright as he thinks he is
Probably a fairly young guy and as such. too self-important to know what he doesn’t know or admit to such
One of the old gang of usual suspects has turned up to sea-lion like a mofo in the brainwashing thread in P&E. And I don’t mean Lumpy.
Is it worth flagging?
Let’s find out.
Is it the giver of Ma, who may be the oldest member of my ignore list?
Is that the poster in the DOGE P&E thread who wonders whether Fauci should be jailed?
Said poster was, AFAICT, actually replying to/challenging the Demonic Tree, who was talking about wanting to see funding for viral “gain-of-function” research eliminated.
It seemed like a veer in a not so good direction, especially given the next comment by that poster.
It took me a moment to grok that.
That’s the puppy.
None of that precludes trolling.
He is, and I quote “not some kid”. He has a “whole team of physicists with PhD and masters from Lehigh and MIT”.
Kook or troll, same difference, really. But the posts about hoping posters will be “mean and critical” stink troll to me.
Who regularly giveth regurgitation and poopsies on your bed in the early morning?

Nobody likes being criticized. But when it does happen, some people like to play Galileo (the pop culture version, not the real one who was actually a bit of a scold/asshole) like they’re misunderstood geniuses or something.
I’d rather help the kid learn than write him off as some kook not worth the effort. That’s part of proper community building - not just tossing ‘undesirables’ out because you just can’t be bothered.
But he says he’s not a kid, he has a whole department of physicists and engineers working with him.
Why he’s bouncing ideas off internet randos, now, I got nothin for you.
Because he’s the lab building janitor?
But he says he’s not a kid, he has a whole department of physicists and engineers working with him.
Yeah…a self-important kid thinking he’s so clever fooling everybody on the internet…
"On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog" is an adage and Internet meme about Internet anonymity which began as a caption to a cartoon drawn by Peter Steiner, published in the July 5, 1993 issue of the American magazine The New Yorker. The words are those of a large dog sitting on a chair at a desk, with a paw on the keyboard of the computer, speaking to a smaller dog sitting on the floor nearby. Steiner had earned between $200,000 and $250,000 by 2013 from its reprinting, by which ti Peter ...
