The Musk bought Twitter thread is unlikely to be a decision maker. Not sure that thread can be destroyed. Run that by @Miller though.

I was 10-11 when the above commercial was popular. The version recited in the schoolyard was “eat a peter on a platter”.
I’m obstinately refusing to believe that one. Barring further confirmation, I’m just going to assume it was some idiot youngsters who were amused by the conflation of “paedo” with “paediatrician” and decided to make their stupid joke with some drunken vandalism.
I prefer to believe drunken hooligans with lowest common denominator senses of humor are much more common than true drooling morons. I mean, I’m probably wrong - but I try to be an optimist

The way the Musk/Twitter Pit thread is going, I’m increasingly leaning toward “trock”. Particularly after the recent “fun fact” about Nazis.

“That strategy” being them being a total tool / troll / monomaniacal PITA / faux neuro-spicy whatever. But only posting in the Pit. Call them whatever, whine about them to the mods, but the Pit rules are loose enough they can vex us for a good long time without sanction.
Ash is doing a credible interpretation of Eliza’s disagreeable twin sister. It’s a lot of “I disagree with that. Tell me more so I can disagree again.”
I wonder how long before we get our first genuine AI-driven troll? it would not be that hard to script something that reads the entries in Latest, feeds “disagree with […]” with a post’s content then posts part of the result back here. Bonus points if it’s not smart enough to know to not bicker with itself.
Posters who only “contribute” to the Pit have been banned before.
I think a certain amount of poking was useful. We still had some regular posters who thought Ash was fine and we were all just being mean. It’s worth it to reveal their true colors.
But I think the poking to date is sufficient.

I guess the recent spate of religio-spam fits with the resurrection theme of this thread. I’m not sure how the cornfielding of same fits, though.
