Among the many reasons I will never be a mod: I would summarily ban certain posters and let ATMB sort 'em out. For one thing, if a poster has established that it is a white supremacist or a transphobe, I don’t give flying fuck if it has followed every rule the forum has, it would be fucking gone. And colinfred has established it is both.
Ban colinfred, and I’ll bet new user Tamarillo joins soon after.

See? This is the second time this has happened to me today where I think one person, and type another’s name. More correctly Engineer_comp_geek stepped up and explained what happened. But I typed your (venerated) name instead. I was up rather late last night, got up with insufficient sleep and then spent all morning and early afternoon stomping out small IRL emergencies before logging in on only one cup of coffee and no food, and was not firing all all cylinders until I made myself stop and have food and coffee.
It’s like drunk posting, just with fewer excuses.
Now excuse me, I need to go smack my head into the wall until it finishes resetting.

Well, I’m not a Pit Mod, but yes, you’re not supposed to Pit a Mod. However, since you responded to a post I made prior to the change, I see no reason to take issue with it unless @miller choses to do so, and I suspect they’d agree fully with my reasoning. Just please understand this is not in anyway a change in the rules about Pitting a mod, just a response to a quite rare instance.
[ This is IMO, again, I am NOT a Pit Mod, and Miller is the boss here. And of course it would be grossly unfair for me to try to moderate when I’m directly involved. ]
Clarification: They can always Pit you as a poster. Just not as a Mod.

Anyway @MW_Degen_Gamblr I was going to say, that yes, the crack was earned, I didn’t take it any worse than any of the other sass or snark I expect on this board, and thanks for the well-wishes.

To anyone coming into this in the morning, freshly prepped with a cup of coffee, no I’m not angry or upset at anyone BUT myself for this sequence.
I phrased my comments to MW-D-G poorly, since I was aware of how the rules worked, but was trying (again, poorly) to make sure to say 1) that there were rules and 2) that I wasn’t changing the rules, and 3) Miller was the boss in the pit, and got lost in my own effort to be adult and fair.
But, like so many other fools and pit-izens, I hit reply before a good proofreading, and while I was doing so Aspenglow swooped in to save me from myself, creating yet another facepalm moment for yours truly. So, if anyone in the last half dozen posts owes an apology, 'tis I and I alone.

But it was suggested that having a title with “Mod” involved helps, though I wasn’t told it was required. So, a quick and dirty adaptation that still keeps at least some of the feel of the original. Though I seriously considered “He Who Banned Kazakhstan” for April First.
