That was my question. It’s not like if A.SL@gmail already exists someone else can create ASL@gmail (or vice versa) right?
Just so we’re all clear, the account being discussed is a_dudes_thought_s, and I agree. It’s obviously a sock account. How do I know? Because it’s been around for 7 years, has long periods without posting, and (most damning) has created 10 topics, but only viewed ~46 and (most most damning) has only viewed ~400 posts. Its own threads have generated way more than that.
See, for example: Would you give up free will for world peace?
So it’s not even really following its own stupid threads. Or rather, if it is, it’s not through that account, but likely a parent account.
The phone number of our off campus house in college had the same last for digits as the campus police, just a different exchange. This was back in the days of 7-digit dialing, so mixing up the exchange (646 vs 643) meant we got a lot of calls for the the cops. In addition, our house had the nickname Sergeant Rock (from the comic book, long story) so we’d answer the phone “Hello, Sgt. Rock” and much hilarity would ensue.
Eventually we resorted to answering the phone “Hello, not the police” but it had no impact.
Yup, eventually, I led off by just asking “What email address do you have on file for me?”, then asking to speak to their supervisor (because the caller themself was just some student on a work-study job, and didn’t deserve my ire). The next time, I led off again by asking what email they had on file for me, and then said something like “I’m sorry, I’m not interested”, and hung up.
The timing is suggestive, but speaking as someone who thought MWDegenGambler’s schtick was vaguely amusing, this guy lacks the sense of subtlety that creates some tiny tinge of doubt about whether he’s trolling. No amusement value, please cornfield.
They’ve done nothing to require modding.
Weird, odd and etc. are not the same as trolling.
People don’t have to reply, but I know, many cannot help themselves.
I know I’m not replying, as a poster, I just think too crazy to go near.
Every fiber of my being rebels at knowing that exists (and, per your implication, in multiple iterations). However, now that I DO know that it exists, I can’t UN-KNOW it. I now bear a compulsion to witness one of the iterations.
I know I can’t ask you to link to the thread, but can you at least tell me what key words submitted to SEARCH, might lead me to it?
I don’t understand why people continue to argue with him, as if they just say the right thing and kanicbird will snap out of his schizophrenic delusions. The dude is legit diagnosed mentally ill.
One of those (have you ever been harassed for your hobbies) also seems to either trolling or paranoid delusions:
I’ve had a few situations where random people wanted to attack me over what music I was listening to. I used to buy super cheap headphones and people could hear what I was playing. I will list a few incidents I have had over the years. I wonder if there are any situation where someone physically or verbally attack you over your hobbies.
I was at an ATM and a white guy called the police on me saying I stole an mp3 player for someone. He said he knew I stole it because no black dude listens to Laura Brannigan. Dude actually followed me down the street telling me to turn the time over to time. He backed off when I said I would beat him down. The police also told dude to get a life.
I was heading to the bank and a black man walking down the street was like dude what are you listening to? He got upset and said black people don’t listen to Laura Brannigan. Cut that crap off. This guy followed me into the bank and continued to tell me to stop listening to white people’s music or else. Eventually when he continued to verbally abuse me the security in the bank told him to leave.
I will mention one more incident. I was at a green line station listening to Eazy E when a black woman approached me. She said fool this is the west side of Chicago we don’t do Eazy over here. When I ignored her, she attempted to get two Mexican guys to beat me up. They laughed at her and cursed her out. She then found a guy who was dressed up like Ronald Mcdonald. Dude came over to me talking crap but left when the Mexican dudes started laughing at him and asking where Hamburglar was at.
