For a time my phone number was one digit different than a beauty salon and spa in the area. Most callers tipped when I’d answer, “Hullo,” instead of, “Continental,” but this one woman must have had a list in her hands she was very keen on. I understood shampoo and haircut but got lost after that with things I don’t remember. When she finally wound down I said, “Okay, but you probably won’t like it.”
… “Isn’t this Continental?”
“No, Ma’am, but I’ll do my best!”
She laughed. “You’re right. I’d probably be disappointed,” and we both hung up.

Some trock has just popped up in ATMB to post a really quite sad string of insults as their first post. Apparently we’re all living rent-free in their head.

I ran across an interesting forum bug thanks to that thread. I saw it when it was originally posted (before anyone had even commented on it) and knew it would be gone soon. The SMDB page was still open in a tab when I came back just now and it still showed up in the 3 most recent posts for ATMB, but with a couple of responses. I clicked and at the bottom it had an icon and the note that it had been unlisted (the same icon was at the beginning of the thread title)
I then refreshed the front page and that thread is now gone. So for some reason the software refreshed the replies from 0 to 2 but didn’t automatically remove the thread from view and allowed me to click on it even though it should have been visible to mods only by then. It wasn’t until I manually refreshed the front page that it became invisible to me.
