Ah, I see what happened. After reading the whole conversation, I went back and intended to quote @Darren_Garrison, but you had simply copied and pasted what he wrote into your comment without quoting him. So I saw the sentence I was looking for and inadvertently quoted your post. I think we share the blame here - the way you posted it looks like you did say that at, and technically I didn’t change anything in what I quoted.
Since this was nothing but a silly joke, I won’t bother to ask a mod to fix it, but feel free to do so if you wish.

Honestly, the OP of that thread could qualify, too, making a false claim and getting defensively snarky when called on it. Their response definitely reads to me as being more about trying to rile people up than actually discuss the political aspects.
I suspect that, before the rule change on moving threads to the Pit, that a mod would have at least considered moving it here.
And, yeah, I see what DA did as trolling, too. Not to the level that breaks the rules by itself, but it was definitely more about riling people up than discussion. He’s embraced the idea that he’s just a shit-stirrer. At least the OP may just be defensive because he made a mistake (though I seem to remember him being the guy who would mock people for talking about Trump so much, so I’m unsure.)
