No apology is necessary, but accepted anyway. Both your original post and your latest post were factually correct.
Please consider, however, whether that particular clarification (or correction if you prefer) was relevant to the topic or to the thesis of my post. Then consider how a pointless correction like that might look to other posters, and you might understand why a few took it amiss.

I’m 64. For me, the 80s was a time when cocaine was readily available. Remembering the 80s is a big ask.
And in this thread, people patiently explain to D_Anconia that 40 is a larger number than 30, amidst his confusion and outrage.
I didn’t know that - today I learned that memory loss is a notable side effect of cocaine.
(Well, I suppose I might have learned it in the 1980s…)

I don’t believe my claims were false. The specific claims of when property can be taken have not been put before SCOTUS, so at worst they have not been proven. You and others posted absurd examples like, ‘What about heroin? What about cocaine?’

It was created by a poster called blueslipper, their first post in 11 months, and while they’re an older account ('06) they seem to create a lot of threads, post little, and have a very very low read time. They’re also echoing phraseology that suggests a lot of Fox news following - “Shows for the millionth time mainstream media has lost the plot.” being a direct quote.
Then, near the end of the thread (as it stands right now 6/18/22) another older account Wood_Man pops in and complains about the fact checking of the news and repeats the exact same line which may or may not mean anything. Except they have the same patterns of very, very low read time, creates a lot of topics, and barely replies, despite being registered since '11.
Just feels suspicious, but I could be utterly wrong.
If it were one, it’d be likely to be a returning poster who sees a liberal hivemind ripe for poking.
Since it’s two, I assume it’s a hack job of some sort. Wasn’t there a security issue a few years back where we were encouraged to change passwords?

No, you are totally right. I thought exactly the same thing looking at that thread, although I hadn’t gone beyond noticing that they were unfamiliar names.
Thanks all, and I agree with @k9bfriender and @Riemann - it was originally just one of those, oh great someone has come back for some minor anti-liberal winging, but it was that second post that set me off. At least enough to dig into the posting history which itself was problematic.
