Trotsky. For the lack of God, Trotsky.

So… you throw the word around pretty much whenever you feel like it, then?

You are getting shite for many reasons. One of them seems to be that you haven’t got the first clue what a true socialist or a Marxists or a Trotskyist is. You are calling American liberals those names. That is so silly it is either intentionally so or just unforgivably stupid.

American liberals are from most of the rest of the western world’s POV quite conservative and almost right wing

Look, Trotsky. It’s no secret that this board is left-leaning. But there are well-respected conservative posters such as Bricker, John Mace, Martin Hyde, etc. And as you have seen from their contributions to this thread, not even they are backing you up. You should learn two lessons from this:

  1. Conservatives can be respected and accepted here if they defend their positions intelligently and with integrity.
  2. Not even the conservatives on the board want you among their ranks.

So if you want to stick around, try to emulate some of our more respected conservative posters–more arguments, less name calling, a little less arrogance about your own correctness, etc.

Ok, let me be the first to quote a source.

Not at all. Feel free to ask for cites from other people backing up their posts, too. If you feel they’re wrong, challenge them on it and ask straightforwardly for a cite.

Alright, Wikipedia is acceptable to you. I’m going by countries that I would consider to be liberal; if you think i’m wrong or you have more countries you’d like to add, please say so.

The U.S.

The U.S again, as well as the U.K., Eire, Canada, NZ and Australia.

France

Germany

So there you go. All liberal countries, all capitalist systems. Like I said, if you can cite me up a liberal country that doesn’t have a capitalist system, please do so.

That’s it? One Iraqi intelligence officer? Who knew that captured insurgents sang like parakeets when they were [del]tortured[/del] interrogated vigorously? Well, he must be objective, he has no reason to misrepresent the truth…

  1. I’m not looking to be accepted. In fact, on a left leaning board like this, I sure don’t want to be.

  2. I try to point out the hypocrasy of the ‘silence the opposition’ left and their lack of humor. Most leftist would slit a rightwinger’s throat to silence them when it comes down to it.

  3. I’m not ‘trolling’. I actually do believe what I say. I made some serious points about Vietnam being lost as a tragedy. All I got back was ‘Vietnam’s no threat’. Well, communism was, and a lot of people suffered when we abandoned Vietnam. I want to avoid that with Iraq. Mostly we want to ensure no threat to the USA, and then we want to ensure a transition from anti-US insanity and jihadism to something more proper.

Well, that’s fine, but if you really want to be helpful to the conservative cause if you would avoid being inflammatory, and backed your opinions up. Even if you think it’s true that there’s a double standard, you aren’t going to solve anything by playing the game that way.

I think you are right, which is why I don’t get too bunched up about it. Although I wasn’t here during the Clinton administration, I have a suspicion that the fact that there is a Republican in the White House also has something to do with it…it’s always easy to bash whatever is going on at the moment.

I gave a source, what you got?

http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0923/dailyUpdate.html

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,169945,00.html (Well, don’t trust this. It’s from those commie pinkos at Fox News.)

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_insurgency.htm

I suspect that the J-post meant to say that of the foreign fighters seventy percent came from the gulf states. Not that seventy percent of Iraqi insurgents are foreign fighters. That would be absurd.

I prefer some sources and facts, thanks.

So why are some conservative posters here able to get along while you aren’t interested? Are they just pussies?

You actually believe Der Trihs might be working for Al Qaeda?

I think our friend drifted in from one of the right-wing political sites. They are easy to spot - they are the ones spouting platitudes, lacking debating skills, and getting angry when reasonable people dispute their assertions. See, on those sites opposing posts are routinely deleted, making it seem that all the world agrees with them.

Here in the land of the free, where we support Constitutional freedoms like free speech, they get very scared. Don’t attack him, he more deserves our pity. He’s a bit like Dorothy going from her black and white house into a world full of color. He’s scared.

He might… The internet’s big.

Why does everybody keep feeding this thing?

No, it i…

OK, I’m noting a disturbing trend lately. The next person to blow the setup on a Monty Python straight line gets warned.

Name one leftist here that would slit someone’s throat. Name one liberal politician that seeks to eliminate free speech.

Yes, you leftists are just so smart. And I’ve only seen a few calls to ban me. You’re actually a little better than democraticunderground I suppose.

I’m just in awe at the liberal intellect. (your posts reminds me of a Trek 2 speech of supposed intellectual superiority).

I’ve seen plenty of support on here for chavez shutting down TV stations.

nuff said.
The throat cutting just goes along with the standard chavez/stalin/lenin/leftwing/pro jihad hysteria that I’ve seen over the day.

Jesus.

Anyway, Trotsky, you seem to have inadvertently missed my cites. Could I ask for a response?
