The error messages I get are IExplore caused an invalid page fault in Module WININET.DLL and IExplore caused an invalid page fault in Module Kernel32.DLL.
Is this in my computer or with the server?

Eh, I think it’s your computer. But before we can help you, you need to tell us more about what software you’re running, who your Internet Service Provider is, whether you have Windows or some other operating system, what kind of computer you have, that kind of stuff.
I don’t think that this kind of error message is the fault of the ISP or its server. My WAG would be that you need to reinstall IE5.
Sounds like a problem with your pwl file(s). Do a search on *.pwl and any results that come up, delete them, then restart your computer. When it restarts, it will ask you to log into Windows. You can log in if you want, however, it is not necessary. That should take care of it.
The ISP is AltaVista, and I also use FreeInet.
The other is Windows 95, not sure which version.
Vandal:
What? Can you explain how you come to that conclusion? Sounds to me like it has nothing to do with her passwords. To mre it sounds like some corrupted DLL or other file.
The only thing that’s sure: it’s all in your computer and nothing to do with the server. You can get the same errors with any other programs. In one on my installations Adobe Photo deluxe was doing it all the time. Then it went away.
Where does this come from? Never heard of a password file causing GPF’s before.
It will either require a re-install of IE5, or there might be some kernel touble with windows. Try the former first, cause it’s easy.
And Vandal, since most ISP’s require that you install networking software(at least PPP components), in most cases, you must log on to windows. Earthlink was always like that, and I’m sure with the advances on security today, it’s almost a requirement with all ISP’s, if not, it should be.

I would try starting in safe mode first, then restart in regular mode. That usually corrects this but ifyou have to its better to reinstall IE. Also, do restart now and then to clear out the crap.
I’ve gotten the same kernel32.dll error. The Microsoft Knowledge Base has a specific set of instructions that say to delete any pwl files. When you log into Windows the next time, a new pwl file will be created with whatever username you choose. I’ve tried this fix and it works. It worked on Windows 95, version B.
