TRUE BLOOD 3.08: Night On the Sun (with open spoilers)

A gross question but I’ll post it in a spoiler box:

Vamp tears are blood and as mentioned above they bleed from other orifices and they even sweat blood. So-

Do they ejaculate blood?

I’ve wondered if this is dealt with in the books.

I hadn’t thought of that.

Also, what happens when a pregnant human get’s turned to a vampire?

So what’s up with the people from Hot Shot? Are they supernatural of just inbred and freaky?

Sam and his brother could smell something weird about them. They recognized Sam as a shifter. Book spoilers are fine if there are any.

ETA: Did Jessica kick some ass or what? She it becoming one fine vampire.

No, you’re not remembering correctly. In the books Gran’s husband is sterile, which is why she hooked up with the half-fairy to have Sookie’s dad and Aunt Linda. She felt guilty about it, but both she and her husband really wanted kids, so…

This has been answered in other threads, but the book spoiler is that Hot Shot is a town of (literally inbred) were-panthers.

Also, this doesn’t seem possible.

How can they be siblings but have different paternal grandfathers?

I guess they’d be half-brother and half-sister but Elfkin said I’m not remembering correctly.

Curious: Is it just me or is Bill a lot less annoying this season?

/Bill SOOKIE!

Your username has also made me realize that the character Crystal comes from a family of… meth heads.

Ho ho.

A*ll I ever knew how to do was to cook.

Oh, my sister works in a restaurant.

Not food, meth!*

Crystal Heisenberg!

Maybe it was the way she was filmed, but I thought Holly was scary-looking. Is she supposed to be scary-looking?

She did look really freaky. It seemed like there was something up with her. Can shifters shift into different looking people?

It’s never really said in the series. I’ve only read the first couple of books so no idea if it’s in there. Surely if he can turn into a fly (which, incidentally, was my biggest ‘holding on so hard to suspend my disbelief I feel my bones breaking’) or a dog then a person would be a cakewalk. While he does have to get naked when he shifts, it’s also never explained what happens to the extra 150 pounds or so when he turns into a dog.

I loved his mother’s “this idn’t gone get us very far” ‘appreciation’ of the money he gave her and was glad he told her “I don’t give a fuck”, though I’m guessing he hasn’t seen the last of them. And how horrifying is the notion of opening a door to see your ‘way past her sale date and it’s all been a hard ride’ mom naked on your porch?

I thought he was just getting naked because it would be a lot harder to get his clothes off when he’s a dog, or a fly.

In the books Holly isn’t a shifter.

In the books, she’s a witch.

In the books she’s supposed to be about Sookie’s age and pretty cute so it definitely looks like they are going in a different direction as far as age goes.

Yeah, but She’s pretty much an ordinary human wiccan type of witch, isn’t she? Not the other kind of witch. Or either other kind, actually, since the books have good, bad, and wiccan.

By the way, the single most perfect thing this season was early on when Sookie did her impression of Bill saying Sookie. If you don’t remember it, you couldn’t have seen it, because it was priceless.

I have to agree. It was the inspiration of my last reply.

Jessica did a pretty good job of it last year too.
