Aaron is safely ensconced at Gramma and Grampa’s house for the night, so we’ll be leaving here at around 3 or 3:30.

Well, maybe not…
I ended up leaving work after lunch yesterday and lying in bed for most of the afternoon cause I was feeling very sick. I’m feeling better right now, but I’m not sure that I want to risk the car ride–if I do end up feeling like I did yesterday, it’s gonna be a really long ride.
I swear, I really am going to make a dopefest one of these days.
Well, I think we can work something out where all of us sinners go outside to smoke. 
Intaglio and I will be a bit late; maybe a half hour or so - Start without us, we’ll catch up as soon as we can.
I’m bowing out too, I’m afraid - a cold is coming on a lot faster than I anticipated, and I’m just not up for the drive and the late night. Sorry, Am.
Unlike some people, I do not equate smoking with moral failure or sin. I just hate the way it smells.
I don’t want the baby around smoke, that’s all.

Of the three people I was planning to bring, one (InDisGuize) sends his regrets – he’s going down to Toms River today to see his daughters and granddaughter and won’t be back in time.
I’m still in, though, as are my other two guests.
We may not make it. We’re getting a piano right now. Yes, we do have one, but this one is in much better shape (ie doesn’t need $300 of work to make it playable). Dependant upon what time it gets here, we’ll know if we can make it on time. It’s about an hour and a half drive for us to get to Bala, so we’ll know within an hour or so.
Just got home from work, and I am jonesin’ for a great evening. Sorry to see the several reluctant dropouts, next time hopefully guys. Are we gonna need a scorecard tonight, can’t tell yer players without a scorecard ya’ know. See you merry bunch at six, or thereabouts.
Grrrr…one of these days, I’m going to put up a giant Post-It note on my monitor that says “CHECK MPSIMS FOR RELATIVELY LOCAL DOPEFESTS EVERY WEEK!”
I hope everyone has fun tonight, I hope Amber is feeling much better, but I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend. I’ll have to be satisfied with GettyDope…
It doesn’t appear that we’ll make it. Even if we left right now, there’s no way, and Dave isn’t even back yet. Many regrets, and we’ll see you all later.
Pity. UF and RT got sick and I really didn’t have the nerve to make the drive by myself. By the looks of the roads now I probably made the right decision.

jayjay dayum, it occurred to me this afternoon that you and svf might have missed the announcment – phooey. I’ll try to remember to email you when we’re setting something up. BTW, in two weeks, we’re doing a trip to The Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore.
At which point, I hope, we’ll be seeing Anita Vacation, whom we much enjoyed gossiping about at dinner.
But seriously folks – y’all missed a fun evening. I’m sure someone will be along soon to post some pix.

Amber looks great, and Rich was quiet as always - Of course, he’s got an excuse, what with all the burn-out work on his thesis, and whatnot.
A good time was had by those whom could make it, and those whom could not were missed.
It’s snowing now, so those more southernly 'dopers probably made a good call to skip the show - I understand it’s thicker to the south.
Back home intact after another evening hanging out with crazy peoples. 
Sorry all you folks from the south and east couldn’t make it. Great to see TP and Verrain again! Hugs to all!
We made it home a little after midnight. I am NOT driving home in that kind of weather ever again.
