Crooks was working for the FBI , as evidence, there was an email address tmcrooks@fbi.gov created in 2020.
Now to their credit most of the people on that board point out that the wannabe assassin Crooks was 16 in 2020 and so was unlikely to be part of the FBI and most likely it was just another person named crooks who shared Thomas’ initials. Although some remain convinced using his 2022 appearance in the background of an ad for an investment firm as proof that he was part of the deep state at an early age.
Less to their credit, several of those who accept that its bullshit are now claiming that this email address was created by the FBI, so that right wingers would latch on to it and they could then be discredited as whacko conspiracy theorists.
There is really no helping these people.
We’re not digging deep enough. I only watched one video of the event (which may have been on CNN - it’s been awhile), but I watched it over and over, that first day. On about the third viewing, I noticed an old man in the audience.
This silver-bearded fellow wasn’t watching the cluster of SS dragging Trump to the big black van. He was watching the camera that was filming, first the shot and reaction, and then the exit.
From about the time that the clump was halfway to the van, this cheerful geezer flipped off the camera. He’d turn his head to follow the clump, reposition his bouncing finger, and turn back to the camera. It was really obvious, once you noticed.
Until the van drove away, that silver geezer was flipping off America. No. As far as that video has spread, he was flipping off the world.
He’s the one who paid off the shooter. It didn’t matter if the shooter hit anyone. Trump would be removed, and the clump would follow the pre-planned route. The grinning man was positioned to deliver the bird no matter what the result was.
Did anyone else notice the grinning bird man? How could that video have been played so many times with no one commenting on that? I bet no one will ever know who he was.

If this has already been addressed upthread I apologize as I did not read all the posts. It is hard to believe that simple incompetency could have been responsible for the security failure. I do suspect that the " Not my job man" mentality could have played a part here. The secret service had an assigned perimeter they were responsible for, it is not hard to imagine a key individual with a bad attitude just ignoring anything outside of this perimeter.

No. There’s a comedy sketch that I have posted before in Kennedy assassination threads. It’s a game show where the contestants have to explain their Kennedy conspiracy theories. The champ is someone who believes that Kennedy was killed by a tiger. He’s played by Bill Nye.
Put the pieces together. There was a bearded old man at the scene. Somebody yelled “There’s a man with a gun over there.”
