I’ve just been informed of your recent case of Trumpitis, I’m so sorry. I’m not a doctor but I’m sure its not fatal and, if the symptoms are properly managed, it will burn itself out in 4 years (8 years at the most).
However for those who find the thought of catching this disease too scary, you can wait out the outbreak in beautiful Cape Breton. The technical legalities of such a move will need to be worked out by yourself, but the Island has been certified Trump-free ever since they passed that ban on the seal-whisker/hair-transplant trade (such a sketchy, sketchy industry).
Heheh, ah yes. We are a bit fond of our access to assisted suicide. But I assure you such a treatment would not be prescribed to you…unless, of course, you happen to have acquired Trumpitis from your time in Yankeeland then we must be open to all options necessary to stop the spread. I’m sure you understand.
Oddly enough we sent our daughter off to school in NS this fall.
And boy, is she glad to be there right now.
She’s got at least two and a half more years there so she’ll miss at least most of his term.
Its not as easy to get into Canada as illegal Mexicans can get into the US. Ya just cant walk over the bridge. I guess an unguarded border maybe…They’ll probably build a wall too:eek:
Canada is not what it cracks up to be…or sound like
Whatever Trump does down here, if its something you fear, Canada is going to feel it too so no use running to hide. Proud American’s are ye? Eh.
In that case, it wouldn’t be assisted suicide, it would be a mercy killing.
Been checking out test dates to take the IELTS here, ourselves… we’d been targeting the Toronto area because more tech jobs but I hear Nova Scotia is gorgeous!
First we have Wiki telling us the one in NS is a “former” city.
As for surfing off the beach there: no problem provided your standards for “beach” and “surfing” are sufficiently open-minded. On the plus side, you can expect to have even the best waves entirely to yourself.
True, Nova Scotia is very nice, and all. But I’ve already fled for my life to Canada once, and I’m getting too old to do it again, unless catastrophe becomes a great deal more imminent…
I’ve liked it pretty good when I’ve been there, had fun, but I’ve remained in or around Halifax on all ocassions, and in summer and early fall. Great town, great people, beautiful land. But I get the nagging feeling that halfway through one winter there I’d be wanting an early check-out myself…
I was thinking of Newfoundland. I should be able to get in there – my wife is a Canadian citizen, from Newfoundland. The in-laws would love it – they’re always encouraging us to move up there. Or move back there, in her case.
Mine was from Newfoundland, too, but she’s not my wife any more. I don’t think I’d get a warm welcome there anymore. Aside from the fact that the other Newdoundlanders give an amazingly warm welcome to everyone. But you’d have to be pretty stoic to endure the climate there.
