Trump going to win after all?

Sure, but that’s temporary. Hospital reimbursement rates are negotiated in multiyear contracts, so you don’t have to renegotiate them every ten minutes. Most providers are still in pre-ACA contracts. Over the next two or three years, you’ll see insurance reimbursement rates for ER visits and other hospital services drop considerably.

Excellently put! This really puts so much in a nutshell.

(I had to capitalize “Democratic,” though, because I honestly couldn’t tell what you meant, until I realized that was surely your intention).

Hillary is a liar. Hillary’s, and her team’s, emails are proving to be her downfall, regardless if she wins or not. I’ll suggest that more and more people are tired of trying to support her as wikileaks, the FBI, Congressional investigations, etc. are providing evidence that Team Hillary has repeated lied to the public. Her campaign isn’t the next coming of Obama. It appears to be the next coming of Dick “I am not a crook” Nixon.

This election is Hillary’s to lose.

Who wants to work with a known liar?

Who wants to work for a known liar?

Who would hire a known liar?

Who wants to vote for a known liar?

Rump’s supporters is who

Hmmm. Are there any recorded instances where Trump is known to have told the truth? :dubious:

Or, for that matter, anyone who can be 100% honest? Hillary bothers me and I may not like her very much but given Trump as the other viable alternative? It makes her actions look almost saintly.

It is encouraging to know that doorhinge’s high ethical standards and zero tolerance policy on lying will bar him from voting for either major party candidate in this election. Planning a write-in, or are you just abstaining altogether?

Exactly. If lying were feline, Clinton is a mountain lion in a world of housecats.

But Trump is a sabertooth tiger who was bitten by a radioactive Barbary lion.

Or something less like a Marvel origin story.

BENGHAZI!!!11111ONE

Hillary’s “lying” operates under the Obi Want Kenobi principle of truth depends on our point of view. Truth is fungible. That is at least a power that can be wielded for good, and par for the course at the Presidential level.

Trump’s “lying” operates under the George Costanza principle of it not a lie if you believe it. He actually believes the gobbledygook spewing forth from his mouth. He operates entirely within his own fantasy bubble where he’s never failed at anything and Trump properties are flawless beacons of glamour. Setting domestic policy and directing foreign relations from inside this delusion is simply impossible.

I always vote. Always.

The DNC sabotaged the campaign of Bernie Sanders, my first choice. Of the three, or four, candidates remaining, Trump is now my first choice.

FYI, I’m in favor of investigations. I demand an honest news media. I support the opportunity to clarify public statements. I have no use for liars. You may disagree with my positions.

What did the DNC actually do to sabotage Bernie? I know various DNC folks said some rude things about him. But Hillary usually got more votes. He did well in the rather undemocratic caucus states.

Bernie is now backing Hillary. But you’ve decided Trump is the best option? Color me skeptical.

How do you trust a liar? If a liar (ie. Hillary) were to tell you to trust them (ie. Hillary), do you chose to actually trust her? Do you tell yourself that Hillary wouldn’t lie to you again? Do you believe that she’s run out of lies to tell? Or are you counting on Hillary’s use of Executive Privilege to end the investigations into Hillary’s lying? (Ain’t gonna happen.) Maybe Obama will offer Hillary a Nixon-grade pardon for all her previous lies and actions before he leaves office?

Trump is a bigger liar than Clinton. So you are knowingly going to vote for the greater liar?

Zing!

I don’t need to. If you’re voting for Donald Trump, your position that you “have no use for liars” is objectively false.

I barely know where to start when it comes to how WRONG* it would be to elect Trump.

Trump faces multiple allegations of sexual assault from women prepared to testify under oath. He’s also facing a suit stemming from the alleged rape of a 13 year-old girl. Trump should not only be jailed, but required to register as a sex offender. But if there was any doubt that misogyny is an inexorable pattern of behavior for Trump, you don’t even need to bring up statements and actions from the past; simply observe his reaction and response when the tape was revealed and the sexual assault stories surfaced. He continues to denigrate women, blatantly denying he ever did so even as the entire world can see incontrovertible proof that he does.

Then there’s the recurring - and very disturbing - tendency of Trump and his supporters of victim-blaming. Trying to shame Hillary Clinton by bringing up Bill Clinton’s sins? Make no mistake, Bill Clinton should also be required to register as a sex offender, but Bill Clinton isn’t running for president; his wife is, a woman who was also a victim of her husband’s infidelity and sexual crimes, and yet managed to hold her marriage together. In contrast, Trump has been divorced multiple times. He can’t hold a marriage together, what makes anyone think he can hold a country together?

Trump claims that he wants protect jobs for Americans… but he continues to purchase building materials from Chinese suppliers for his hotels and casinos. He has used undocumented immigrant workers on his building projects.

Trump University is a fraud; it’s not even a university.

In 1995, he lost $916 million… because he sucks at actually running businesses and making investments.

He illegally uses funds from his own charitable organization for personal use, including settling lawsuits and even (absurdly, but somehow very Trump-like) to purchase portraits of himself.

He declared bankruptcy six times because of poor decision-making. In the bankruptcy hearings, his lawyers reportedly had their hands full to protect Trump from his own tendency to lie.

For Trump, lying is simply a part of who he is. Various newspapers like the Toronto Star have been fact-checking Trump for a while now, and his per-day lie rate is usually somewhere in the double digits. Anyone can check it out. He is clearly a pathological liar. He is, by the very definition of the words, both corrupt AND dishonest.

A Donald Trump presidency is the very LAST thing that America needs. His backers are endorsing a misogynistic, narcissistic bully who survives through mendacity, denial, and intimidation. The Republican party used to be noted for declaring that “character matters” when it comes to presidential candidates; I agree with them, and Trump fails in every aspect.

 • See what I did there? “WRONG”? Get it???

Hahahaha. Tell it to the FBI. Regardless of whether ol’ Hillary is elected, Hillary’s constant, repeated lies, and cover ups should eventually earn her a nice stretch in a federal prison.

In other words:

doorhinge: Factual evidence conflicts with my emotions. Therefore, factual evidence is wrong, and I’m right.

You know, of course, that Clinton has been investigated numerous times – possibly the most-investigated presidential candidate in history – and has been cleared in every investigation. Oh, sorry. Bloody facts!

But anyway…

You may have missed it since you quoted the link, but Clinton is not nearly the liar Trump is. Why don’t you just admit that you are voting for Trump because you prefer a pathological liar and confidence artist, even though you know he lies more than his opponent, and has – in court – been proven to be a fraudster?
